FAQ's
Meredith is the only person in the world to hold the combined highest level credentials of Schroth, yoga, and Pilates. Meredith is not only an advanced (C2) BSPTS & SEAS certified therapist, she is also an internationally appointed SSOL Schroth Teacher, an Experienced 500 hour registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500), a Certified Yoga Therapist though the International Association of Yoga Therapy (C-IAYT), and a comprehensive Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). She has the unique ability to seamlessly blend the worlds of Schroth, yoga & Pilates for a singular experience that transforms & evolves how we think, move, feel.
On-Demand Classes are designed for all adults and teens looking to optimize their quality of movement through dynamic flexibility and neutral spine core stability. Most importantly, movements and strategies taught in these classes help us lengthen as we strengthen and promote stability and clarity in the mind and body. Meredith’s unique and expert sequencing and cueing will transform your current yoga and Pilates repertoire so that you finish classes feeling taller, stronger, inspired and clear.
The majority of On-Demand Classes here are designed as “Spine Smart”, specific for individuals who have adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), adult onset (deNovo) scoliosis, Scheurmann’s, or Hyperkyphosis, osteoporosis, or who have undergone a lumbar or spinal fusion where observing a neutral spine is key. These classes are ideal for those who have completed a PSSE/Schroth program and are seeking to continue strengthening in functional & inspiring ways through the wise integration of yoga, Pilates, and the principles of PSSE/Schroth. Some classes may be more demanding than others, so it is smart to know your abilities, any precautions, and have your physician’s permission to participate.
On-Demand Courses are designed for the public as well as physical therapists, yoga and Pilates teachers, and fitness professionals.
All courses specific to yoga teachers are Yoga Alliance approved for CEUs; For Physical Therapists, some courses are already approved for FPTA CEUs, while other physiotherapy related courses may be pending approval. All courses specific to Pilates teachers are pending PMA CEU approval.
Twice a month, join Meredith in a live 1 hour zoom meeting where she answers your questions and shares the latest research and inspiration specific to spinal health and wellness. These livestream meetings are open only to current subscribers in the “Learn + Move + Zoom” plan. Pre-registration is not required for “office hours”- just join us with the link provided, and feel free to email your questions ahead of time! “Office Hours” are designed for the public, as well as physical therapists, yoga and Pilates teachers, and fitness professionals. Soon to come may be “Office Hours” specific for physical therapists, and “Office Hours” for the public, yoga and Pilates teachers.
PSSE = Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercise. “Schroth” is one form of PSSE.
The On-Demand Schroth Classes include exercises often (but not always) involving the wall bar or Schroth ladder. Many individuals have wall bars at home, but are uncertain how to use and get the most out of them. (They are so much more than a place to hang clothes!) Schroth classes are designed to inspire and enhance our ability to elongate and lengthen while we strengthen. Foundational Schroth/PSSE exercises are not taught or performed in these classes, as such exercises are highly complex and individual/curve specific.
All On-Demand Classes offered on this platform are not a substitute for inperson medical care or personalized physical therapy; rather, these classes are designed to complement such care. Our Spine Smart On-Demand Classes are ideal for individuals who have completed their therapy and desire to continue strengthening and lengthening in a format that inherently integrates the principles of Schroth with the wisdom of yoga and power of Pilates.
According to the International Scientific Society On Scoliosis Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (SOSORT) 2016 guidelines, individuals with structural spinal asymmetry are more likely to stabilize their curves and reduce risk of progression when actively participating in Scoliosis Specific Exercise. The authors note, “Current evidence suggests that conservative treatment for scoliosis is effective at stopping curve from progression, as well as improving the curves at skeletal maturity.” For additional evidenced based research on PSSE, visit: https://www.physiolutions.com/resources
The above guidance is of course, general in nature and not specific to each individual. It is always recommended that you speak with your medical provider or certified PSSE therapist for the guidance that is appropriate for you!

Classes are offered at all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) so there’s something for everyone based on your ability and experience. Whether you are new or experienced in any or all of the above disciplines, classes are designed to help you exceed your goals, while elevating and deepening your understanding, application, and experience of Schroth, yoga and Pilates.
13 years of age is the minimum age for participation on this platform. Teens between the ages of 13 -17 years of age may participate with permission of a parent or legal guardian.
2 to 4 new On-Demand Classes will be added on a weekly basis. Some weeks classes may be added to just one category, other weeks classes may be in various categories.
New On-Demand Courses will be added approximately once every 1-3 months due to the nature of in-depth research and work required to produce high quality, evidenced based content.
While the educational content of our webinar based courses are appropriate for all, classes (Schroth/yoga/Pilates) are not specifically designed for those that are pregnant. If you have recently delivered, congratulations!! Our classes are a great way for new moms to decompress, lengthen & reconnect with their core. Because our bodies after childbirth are still super flexible and require time to re-stabilize, start with an easier level class than you think, and make sure to have your health care provider’s permission prior to jumping back into any exercise program.
The great news is that osteoporosis and PSSE/Schroth both follow the same general guidelines for reducing spinal compression while promoting spinal elongation, and deep core and spinal stabilization through weights and resistance. As with any class, know your abilities and limits and make sure to have your health care provider’s permission prior to participation in any exercise program.
While many classes involve just you and a good mat, other classes incorporate simple pieces of equipment to enhance exercises and provide a completely different experience. You can find links to recommended pieces of equipment here, or feel free to find similar products at a local store near you!
Rice bags are a prop we often use in PSSE. Before using them, it is imperative that you know where to place them (as instructed by your PSSE/Schroth therapist). “Happy Sew” is our go-to resource for high quality products. You can mention the coupon code PHYSIOLUTIONS for a discount (discount is subject to availability and is not sponsored) https://happysew.com/wedge-rice-bags/
Due to high demand, we offer a limited number of 1:1 zoom consultations. These consultations are not an evaluation or treatment, but simply an opportunity to consult directly with Meredith and gain deeper insight and resources to help get you on the right path. Reach out to us at hello@physiolutions.com to inquire!

While it is a great idea to work with a certified PSSE therapist, we recognize that is not always possible for everyone. When you subscribe, you’ll receive Meredith’s original eGuide, “Ground Rules” for FREE. This eGuide describes and illustrates why a neutral spine is vital for optimizing our spinal health, and offers general guidance on how to find and develop the most lengthened and 3D balanced posture possible.
Anatomy Focus Flow classes are 60-90 min Vinyasa style classes for students in Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programs seeking to learn common (and sophisticated!) anatomy language while practicing. This is 100% feel, learn and move so that students develop confidence and clarity as they step into the role as a teacher. Classes are followed by live Q&A. Classes presented have been previously recorded unless specified otherwise.
Resilient Runner classes are yoga and/or Pilates classes designed to improve the athletic performance of long distance runners & reduce the risk of injury that is so common in this sport. As a long distance runner myself, I have found integrating yoga & Pilates to be a game changer. While still promoting spinal elongation, core stability & fluid, dynamic flexibility, Resilient Runner classes involve twists, forward bends, back bends & side bends, and are not intended for those with scoliosis or other spinal conditions where a neutral spine is advised.
